Stage 4 Lorne to Geelong 149km

As we press on ever closer to our final destination we will have our first mass departure from Lorne.  Our large peloton will ride en masse on the Great Ocean Road to the first major challenge of the day, Big Hill just out of Lorne.  At this point our elite riders will put their race faces on and push for King of the Mountains points first and then press on down the road to Anglesea, Bells Beach and finally Torquay for an espresso and a very early lunch sitting.
Carbohydrates will be the order of the day as there is 100kms of hard riding through the undulating hills of the Bellarine peninsula frequented in the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Ride before we turn towards Geelong, Victoria’s second biggest city and home of the 2010 Cycling World Championships, for our final night.  Staying on the waterfront, our Tour, private to date will open the doors to friends, family and supporters of HLTTV to join us for a fundraising dinner.
